Open call for a travel grant for UTU BSc. (or MSc.) students for visiting IIT Delhi (application period from 27 March to 9 April 2026)
The travel /mobility grant is in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – IIT Delhi
The Digital Manufacturing and Surface Engineering (DMS) research group at the University of Turku invites travel grant applications from motivated students at the University of Turku for a two-month international mobility opportunity at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). Priority is given to BSc. students.
This mobility is organized within the Team Finland Knowledge (TFK) project – SUMAN, focusing on Sustainable Advanced Digital Manufacturing (SADM).
Mobility Details
- Host institution: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), India
- Duration: 1 May – 30 June 2026 (2 months)
- Number of grants awarded: one travel grant (3100 eur)
Activities
The selected student will:
- Network with students and researchers at IIT Delhi, one of India’s premier engineering institutions and among the top-ranked engineering institutes in the country
- Participate in joint research activities in the field of advanced manufacturing and surface technologies
- Be encouraged to participate in courses, seminars, and webinars during the stay at IIT Delhi India
- Gain exposure to international research environments and industrial collaborations
Financial Support
The mobility will be supported by the TFK SUMAN project. The maximum amount of granted support is 3100 eur. The grant covers travel and accommodation expenses.
Obtaining a visa is the individual's own responsibility, and it must be valid at the beginning of the grant period.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- Be a BSc. (or MSc.) student enrolled at the University of Turku
- Be studying in science (physics, chemistry, biology) or engineering/technology fields (materials, mechanical engineering, computer/information technology, or related areas)
- Be interested in learning about advanced manufacturing and surface technologies and participating in research activities related to this topic
