The Finance Lab at the Turku School of Economics has moved to new, larger premises. The renovated Finance Lab provides students and researchers with world-class tools and real-time data for monitoring financial markets.

The renovated Finance Lab was opened to students and staff at the beginning of January in new, expanded facilities. The premises offer an even better opportunity to follow financial market activities and news in real time via Bloomberg and LSEG terminals, which are widely used by financial institutions. These terminals also feature several tools for analyzing securities and financial markets.

A vast amount of data is available for research in fields such as finance, accounting, and economics, among others, along with software supporting statistical analysis. The facilities are accessible to students from morning to evening every day of the week. The larger space also enables the lab's use for teaching purposes.

The Dean of the Turku School of Economics, Professor Markus Granlund, and Professors Mika Vaihekoski and Luis Álvarez Esteban visited the renovated Finance Lab:

“The Finance Lab is a very important research and training environment for us. The new, modern, and comfortable facilities enable high-quality financing training. We would like to express our warm thanks to the Lieto Savings Bank Foundation for supporting the Finance Lab and enabling its development,” say Granlund and Álvarez Esteban.
