Travel grant, The Department of Physics and Astronomy (application period from 4 June to 18 June 2026)

The University of Turku ERC project ExPertQCD offers travel grants to researchers and doctoral students to international scientific collaboration related to the project's themes.

The maximum amount of the grant is €2,000 per application.

The grant may be awarded for research visits or travel to meetings that contribute to the scientific objectives of the project. The travel grant may cover justified costs arising from a research visit or collaboration trip, including travel and accommodation expenses.

Applications should include:

• an itemized estimate of the total travel costs
• a short travel plan (destination, dates, and duration)
• a brief description of how the trip relates to the research of the ExPertQCD project

Grants will be awarded based on the scientific relevance of the trip and its connection to the objectives of the ExPertQCD project.

After the trip, the recipient is required to submit a short travel report to Prof. Risto Paatelainen.
