Try the Avidnote AI Assistant to Support Your Research and Work
Avidnote is a browser-based AI application designed to support research. It is intended to assist with producing and reading research documents, as well as analyzing research data. The Library has acquired an Avidnote license for all university members until 16 December 2026. A decision on continuing the license will be made after the trial period.
Please note: When using Avidnote, applicable institutional guidelines on the use of AI must be followed. These are available on the AI at the University intranet pages. In the case of licensed materials, the terms of use concerning AI tools must be observed. Further information is available in the Guide to the Use of E-Resources.
Please note: Avidnote is a service provided by an external vendor, and therefore no personal data or sensitive data may be entered into the service. Personal data include, for example, a person’s name or voice.
The University’s Avidnote environment operates on Microsoft Azure servers located within the EU. However, Avidnote uses technical subprocessors through whom some data may be processed outside the EEA. Such processing is protected by contractual safeguards. More information about considerations related to AI use is available on the university intranet page AI at the University.
