University of Turku has a new visual identity

The visual identity of the University of Turku has been updated. At the same time, the University’s public website www.utu.fi/en was updated with the new visual identity.  

The new graphic style brings with it a revised colour palette, typography, and image style, as well as a clearer and more user-friendly website. The colour palette emphasises more controlled contrasts and special attention has been paid to accessibility and the consistency of the University’s brand. Colours familiar from the previous visual identity continue as accent colours, creating a natural continuity.

“The brand of the University of Turku is built on strong traditions and future-oriented research and education. We believe this visual identity reflects exactly what we are as an organisation: a university of expertise, trust and impact," says Marketing Manager Jenna Lainio.

For the users of the website, the change to the new visual identity is particularly noticeable in the colours and fonts. Usability has also been improved so that the layout of the different elements guides the user onwards on the site more clearly. 

The logo of the University of Turku remains unchanged.
