Areas of expertise
Anna works as a Research Manager in KAPPAS project at Pan-European Institute. KAPPAS project focuses on developing trade policy related teaching and know-how in Finland. She is finalizing her dissertation related to institutional complexity of pharmaceutical industry as a doctoral candidate in International Business. Anna has her Master’s degree from Lappeenranta University of Technology (Industrial Management) and her Bachelor’s degree from Turku University of Applied Sciences (Biotechnology). She has previously worked at Lappeenranta University of Technology and at Department of Medical Biochemistry at University of Turku. Her free time Anna spends with her family, friends and photography.
Anna supervises Master's theses groups and is involved in developing and supportive activities for teaching in Pan-European Institute and International Business.
Anna's doctoral thesis research focuses on the interaction of MNE and institutional complexity. Empirically she is focusing on pharmaceutical industry. Stemming from her thesis research she is also interested in creativity in highly institutional environments, and in the role of informal institutions in retailing industry transformations.
