Biography

I'm an Information Specialist at Turku University Library, focusing on research data management. I have a pragmatic approach to the design and implementation of data services, drawing on my experience in IT services, information systems science and diverse research projects. I aim to advance data management and open science initiatives across institutional, national and international networks. I also have experience in qualitative research methods, scientific writing, and university teaching.

Teaching

I'm teaching Basics of Research Data Management course for PhD students. I also give lectures on various topics including data management, research security and information systems as part of other university courses. I have vast experience on teaching bachelor level courses on information systems science and I have supervised multiple bachelor's thesis and master's thesis.

Research

My research concentrates on the usage of governmental information systems among parents of disabled children. I'm studying this topic from the viewpoint of the parents through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions.
