Biography

2024-2026: Researcher, University of Turku/Project researcher in Social Sciences, Åbo Akademi University.

2023-2024: Post-doctoral researcher, Swedish and other languages in the linguistic landscape of specialized healthcare (Svenska litteratursällskapet i Finland). University of Turku.

2019-2022: Post-doctoral researcher, EGS: Emergent Clausal Syntax for Conversation - Swedish in a Cross-Language Comparison (2018-2022, Academy of Finland). University of Helsinki.

2017-2019: Post-doctoral researcher (Svenska Kulturfonden). Affiliated with the research programme IVIP: Interaktion och variation i pluricentriska språk - Kommunikativa mönster i sverigesvenska och finlandssvenska (2013-2020, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond). University of Turku.

2010-2016: PhD candidate, Scandinavian Languages, University of Turku.

Research

In 2025-2026, I am employed in two research projects/environments:

Communicative patterns in two languages (University of Turku, financed by The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, 2023-2026)

Linguistic justice, global migration and the Nordic welfare state (Linnaeus University and Åbo Akademi University; financed by The Swedish Research Council, 2023-2027)

In addition, I am active in the research network Svenskan i Åbo (Swedish in Turku), especially concerning Swedish in health care.
