Biography

I am a doctoral researcher in the Utuling Programme a the School of Language and Translation Studies. I am doing an article-based doctoral thesis in the field of Finnish language. My area of research is standard Finnish language, its norms, language planning and language ideologies.

I have worked as a language planner / proofreader and as an assistant editor in scientific publications.

Research

I study standard Finnish language, its norms, language planning, and language ideologies. I examine related phenomena such as language professionals' attitudes towards grammatical change, the shaming of others' written language in social media, perceptions and attitudes towards language change, and holes in the grammar of standard language.
