I received my PhD from the University of Turku, Finland, in 2004. After a post doc year in US in 2005, I worked at the University of Tampere and University of Turku. In 2017-2019 I was a senior research fellow at Turku Institute for Advanced Studies. Currently I am a university lecturer at the Department of Psychology, University of Turku, and coordinator of Turku EyeLabs, see


I teach statistical methods and psychometrics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I also supervise Master's and Doctoral students.


I am currently leading two research projects: Fostering Finnish Science Capital consortium ( funded by the strategic research council, and IMMERSED project on immersion to literary narratives, funded by the Academy of Finland.
