Research
In my doctoral dissertation, I studied syntactically complex structures in Finnish-speaking university students' L2 Swedish. I investigated the effect of language proficiency, the differences between written and spoken production, and learners' individual styles of producing the target language.
My research interests cover all the aspects in the CAF triad, that is accuracy and fluency in addition to complexity. In the KISUVI project, I studied multilingual language learners' writing processes, and my most recent work in the CoSiLang project focuses on complexity and simplicity in (learner) languages.
