Biography

I have Master's Degrees in Engineering (2002, majoring in occupational safety engineering) and in Economics (2009, majoring in corporate environmental management). Currently (2019) I'm finishing my Doctoral studies with the topic of environmental reporting in the Finnish forest industry.

I have worked in Tampere University of Technology (2002-2007). There I studied occupational safety engineering and tought environmental management. Since 2007, I have worked in Turku School of Economics in Finland Futures Research Centre.

Teaching

I'm responsible for two course in Turku School of Economics, namely Responsible Business: An Introduction and Global Responsible Business. Also, in Tampere University of Applied Sciences, I'm responsible for the course of Risk Assessment and Management. In addition, I give visiting lectures of corporate environmental management in Tampere University of Technology and of futures research in Turku School of Economics. In addition, I have given executive lectures in the field of risk management in Aalto Pro and in sustainability reporting in Turku School of Economics. I have vocational teacher qualifications from Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

Research

I have worked in Turku School of Economics since 2007. My research interests are in corporate sustainability. Most of my studies have focused on either environmental or sustainability reporting in different companies. Also, I'm interested in employees perspectives on sustainability. I have published my research in journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production, Business Strategy and the Environment and Forest Policy and Economics.
