Biography
Since 2005, I have worked as an assistant, project researcher, university teacher, and university lecturer in digital culture. In my doctoral thesis (2012), I examined the digitalisation of media sports. My teaching and research activities focus on online communities and social media. At the time I am a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities and the Ethics Committee of the University of Turku.
Teaching
Annually, I'm teaching courses about social media and online cultures, online research ethics, qualitative research methods, sports on social media, and research seminar.
Research
My research focuses on sports, social media, and gender – specifically, representations of women athletes, athlete activists, embodiment, and online harassment. I am also interested in issues related to online research ethics.
