Biography
I am a researcher in innovation management and international business with a long-standing interest in how organizations navigate change, uncertainty, and technological disruption. Since starting my academic career, I’ve worked on a wide range of qualitative and mixed‑methods projects, published journal articles and book chapters, and collaborated with researchers and companies across Finland and internationally. My work is grounded in a critical realist view of the world, and I’m especially motivated by research that brings together academics and practitioners to co‑create meaningful knowledge.
Since 2022, I’ve led the Laboratory of Business Disruption Research at Turku School of Economics. In this role, I guide a growing team and manage a diverse project portfolio funded for example by Business Finland, foundations and industry partners.
Lately, my research has shifted toward strategic foresight and the human side of organizational capabilities, as I’m increasingly interested in the systemic nature of disruptions in business and society. I also maintain active international collaborations and hold the title of Docent in International Marketing at LUT University.
