I am the Director of Research Affairs at the University of Turku. I lead operational management of the Research Affairs. The Research Affairs includes five units: Innovation Services, Research Career, Research Development, Research Funding and EU Advocacy. I have extensive expertise in EU, Academy of Finland and Business Finland fundings. I have coordinated several strategic university-level project preparations of the Academy of Finland, as well as worked as an evaluator of EU framework programs (e.g., Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) for several years. I am a member of the University of Turku's Research Council and the Steering Group of the Graduate School . Before joining the University of Turku, I have worked in a similar position at the University of Oulu in 2004-2021, in a regional development company and in the private sector in several different positions.
