Tiina Annevirta (PhD) is University lecturer (2008 –) at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences, in University of Turku, Finland. Before that, she worked as a senior researcher, lecturer and supervisor at the Centre for Learning Research (1992 –) in University of Turku. Her earlier scientific interests were learning, learning skills and learning difficulties (doctoral thesis 2006: Metacognition in young primary school children – A developmental approach). Nowadays her scientific and educational interests are more in teachers´ competence and skills to teach learning and thinking skills to all students thus they could become more self-regulating and well-being learners. Furthermore, strengthen teachers' ability to learn together and to build the multi-professional collaboration in the school context. She is currently also a head of the School Well-being Specialization program (ERKO) for advanced teachers (2016 –).
