Biography

I am working as head of unit of Areal Research and Development (ARD) in the Brahea Centre. In my position I am responsible for a unit of 27 experts, who are dedicated in university-business collaboration, and social engagement. Brahea Centre brings annually over 2 MEUR to the University of Turku in external funding.

Teaching

My areas of expertise are: Lifelong learning, micro-credentials and open badges, competency-based education, recognition of prior learning, validation of learning, lifelong learning, lifelong guidance, continuing education and training, educational policies, intercultural competences.

Research

My research interest is the impact of institutional and personal factors on teacher and student exploration of working-life-oriented pedagogies.
