University of Turku offers additional funding to ERC projects applied to and hosted at the university.
ERC projects hosted at the University of Turku are granted additional funding during the project and – for a limited time - after it. During the project €75,000 is granted per year for the period of the funding term. This applies to Starting Grant, Consolidator Grant, and Advanced Grant funding, not Proof-of-Concept funding. In the case of Synergy funding, the situation is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The funding can be used for example to cover the ERC grantees director's reward, part of the salary of the project coordinator and possible other funding used on research expenses.
After the project has ended, exit funding will be granted for a period of two years. The yearly sum of exit funding is €50,000.
