Paying the tuition fee

The University of Turku charges tuition fees from all non EU/EEA citizens unless they receive the scholarship of the University of Turku. The amount of the tuition fee depends on your programme, the exact amount is mentioned in the admission offer (more on scholarships and tuition fees here). 

The tuition fee is paid using the Flywire service portal. Flywire is an easy-to-use payment solution that provides international students with a streamlined payment experience, saving time and money.

We recommend you pay your tuition fee only after you have accepted your study offer and know you will be able to start your studies at the University of Turku. The final date of payment for the tuition fee is 31 July.

Please note: Beginning 1 August 2026 the tuition fee of the first academic year must be paid in full before you are allowed to register as attending student.

In the academic year 2025-2026 it is possible to pay the tuition fee in one or two instalments (autumn and spring semesters separately). If you choose to pay the fee in two instalments, the second instalment is due by the end of December.
