Paying the tuition fee

The University of Turku charges tuition fees from all non EU/EEA citizens. The amount of the tuition fee depends on your programme, the exact amount is mentioned in the admission offer (more on scholarships and tuition fees here).

The tuition fee is paid using the Flywire service portal. Flywire is an easy-to-use payment solution that provides international students with a streamlined payment experience, saving time and money.

If you have any questions regarding the tuition fee or how to pay, it please contact the Admission Services.

For new students

We recommend you pay your tuition fee only after you have accepted your study offer and know you will be able to start your studies at the University of Turku. The final date of payment for the tuition fee is 31 July. The paid tuition fee can only be refunded if certain conditions are met and the refund request is made within the specified deadlines. For more information please see this website.

You must pay the tuition fee before you may register to the university as an attending student. For registration information please see this website.

For continuing students

Continuing students may pay the tuition fee in one or two instalments per academic year, for one semester or two semesters at a time, but they must pay at least the fee for one semester before they register as attending. If a student has received a scholarship from the University of Turku that does not cover the full tuition fee the partial tuition fee must be paid before the student can register as attending.
