Meet Hassan Nazir, a current Master's degree student at the University of Turku and an UTUambassador 2023-2024!
"My name is Hassan, and I am proud to be an ambassador for the University of Turku. I am originally from Pakistan. I have done bachelor's in chemical engineering at University of Debrecen in Hungary and spent six years there while studying on a scholarship and working. I have always been fascinated by different cultures and the opportunity to study abroad. Currently, I am enrolled in the Master's Degree Programme in Exact Sciences, in the track Chemistry of Drug Development at UTU.
The inspiration behind my decision to study at UTU stems from its excellent reputation in the field of Exact Sciences. The university's commitment to providing a multicultural and inclusive learning environment was a major factor in my choice. I believe that studying at UTU will equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the global Pharmaceutical Industry.
One of the best things about university studies, particularly at UTU, is the opportunity to interact with students from diverse backgrounds. This multicultural environment fosters a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives, which enhances the learning experience. It is truly inspiring to collaborate with individuals who bring unique insights to the table.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I have a passion for football, cricket, travelling and exploring new places. Turku, with its picturesque landscapes and historical charm, has quickly become one of my favorite places. The Aura River, flowing through the heart of the city, offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere that I find incredibly captivating.
As for my future career plans, I aspire to work in the field of Drug development, Chemistry and pharmaceutical industry. I am particularly interested in exploring opportunities that promote sustainable and socially responsible work in my field. UTU's emphasis on research, technology and innovation has provided me with a solid foundation to pursue my career goals.
While I don't have any peculiar study habits, I do tend to organize my study materials meticulously. I find that having a structured approach helps me stay focused and efficient. Additionally, I had some fears before arriving in Turku, such as adapting to a new culture and making new friends. However, the warm and welcoming community at UTU quickly alleviated these concerns, and I have been able to embrace the experience wholeheartedly.
In conclusion, being a University of Turku ambassador is an honor for me. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent this esteemed institution and share my experiences with prospective students. UTU has provided me with a transformative educational journey, and I am excited to contribute to the university's vibrant community."

I believe that by studying this chemistry of drug development track I can achieve my future goals by getting enough knowledge and learning in this specific field which would later help me get a job in pharmaceutical Industry . This track has wide applications in medical and others aspect of life which would definitely help me secure a job and achieve my dreams
