Katherine's study experience
How is your study experience at UTU and what services/aspects have influenced that the most?
Studying at UTU is a great experience filled with meaningful moments. The high quality of teaching and support has made a huge difference in my journey.
I remember feeling nervous before my first get-together, unsure if I would make friends but the student tutors created a genuine sense of belonging and they made space for better connection. That warm welcome stayed with me and inspired me to offer the same support to others. At UTU, the student experience and student life are truly at the heart of everything.
I also appreciate our professors approachablility where we can ask questions or share our ideas and research. Group work has been important part too in my studies. It comes with different time schedules and different skill sets but it is also a space where I’ve learned to communicate across cultures, share ideas and realize that my perspective matters.
The community that forms around all these services and structures is the real influence of my experience. For example, international student events, informal coffee meet-ups and even random conversations in the cafeteria have turned UTU from a place I study into a place where I belong.
To whom would you recommend your programme to?
The programme is suitable for anyone who is curious about the intersection of technology, intelligence and real-world impact. The curriculum builds strong problem-solving skills and it gives you the chance to work with both hardware and software. The programme also gives you the tools to turn ideas into tangible solutions.
