Much of our daily lives today is digital, and tomorrow even more. Our interactions with public services, banks, insurance companies, health care providers, travel industry, etc. takes place via computers—many functions of the modern society can grind to a halt if vital computer systems have defects or if their usability is not adequate. We conduct research on how to productively and predictably build reliable and user-friendly computer systems for our digital society on many fronts, including
