University Consortium of Pori

The University Consortium of Pori (UCPori) is a unique partnership that brings together four Finnish universities – University of Turku, Aalto University, Tampere University of Technology and University of Tampere.

UCPORI is located in the city of Pori that lies on the West Coast of Finland, 150 km north from Turku. Thus, if you wish to do your exchange in Pori, it is not possible to take courses from other faculties in the University of Turku. Note also that the information and many of the services and processes described in these internet pages apply only to Turku and are provided in a different manner in Pori.

The exchange study progamme in UCPori is mainly directed for students from partner universities of Turku School of Economics. However, also students from other faculties’ partner universities can be accepted if they have previous studies in the subject area of the exchange programme.

UCPori is a multidisciplinary science and art community made up of 2 800 students and 170 experts. The UCPori exchange programme offers a versatile curriculum with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary dialogue. The exchange programme comprises of several courses that can be categorised into four thematic modules:

  • Industrial Engineering and Management
  • Business and Entrepreneurship
  • Game Design and Culture
  • Information Technology

In addition to the above course offering, exchange students may take self-study courses offered by University of Turku, Degree Program in Cultural Production and Landscape Studies and by University of Tampere School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Self-study courses are completed in form of book exams or written assignments.
