Open house event of the Department of Biodiversity Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Biodiversity Sciences’ open house event, where you can learn about the research activities and collections of this newly established department.

All members of the University of Turku staff and students are welcome to attend, and coffee and sweet buns are served for the first 100 guests!​

Open house

Visit the department's units in Natura (zoological and botanical museum) and Aurum (Aerobiology laboratory and LUMA laboratory) and learn about the research stations, botanic garden and various ongoing research topics through our presentations and at the exhibition stands.

Guided tours

Explore our zoological and botanical museum collections, which are normally kept behind closed doors. We recommend registering in advance for tours of the zoological and botanical collections. Each tour is limited to 15 participants.

Registration for the tours begins in early April.
