Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) is a joined enterprise between Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law and Turku School of Economics.
TIAS embraces a wide variety of research topics within humanities and social sciences and promotes cutting-edge university research in the fields of arts and literature, cultural studies, history, languages, linguistics, logopedics, business studies, education, human geography, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, social policy, social work, sociology and research methodology.
Who can apply?
TIAS will appoint applicants who are at different stages of their academic careers. The goal is to advance the professional competence of researchers who have recently earned their doctorate (Postdoctoral Researchers), and to offer researchers an opportunity to gain competence for the most demanding research posts or other expert positions after the postdoctoral research stage (Collegium Researchers).
