Academy Research Fellow, Dr. Subhanjan Sengupta has been awarded the title of Docent entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
This domain is socially important and highly topical in the subject. An international Bachelor's program (International B.Sc. program in social and sustainable entrepreneurship) was recently established in entrepreneurship, with the first intake in the Autumn of 2025. Sengupta's expertise will strengthen the unit’s research and teaching activities in social and sustainable entrepreneurship. Strengthening these themes also strongly supports the Turku School of Economics’ focus on building sustainable futures and offers opportunities for developing multidisciplinary research and teaching within the subject, in the Turku School of Economics and more broadly at the University of Turku.
Academy Research Fellow, Dr. Subhanjan Sengupta works at the University of Eastern Finland. He has published several articles related to his field of expertise in leading business and entrepreneurship journals, such as the Social Enterprise Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Entrepreneurship and Regional Development. Sengupta has also made extensive contributions to the development of teaching and has considerable teaching experience.
