Register for the Annual Seminar of FinEd by April 10th!

The deadline for registration for the FinEd Annual seminar has been extended until 10.4. The accommodation capacity of Herrankukkaro is limited and we can take max 50 doctoral students to the seminar. There is still plenty of room so we welcome as many of you as possible! As before, all the expenses of the seminar are covered to all participants (the overnight stay, meals and the most economical travel expenses).

The annual seminar of FinEd "Transformations of the Governance of Education in Europe" will be organized in the highly distinctive conference center Herrankukkaro in Rymättylä, Turku archipelago, on 9-10.6.2015. The first keynote lecturer will be researcher Xavier Pons (University of East Paris Créteil and “Observatoire Sociologique du Changement”, Sciences Po, Paris) with a title "School Evaluation Policies and Educating States". The invited speakers of the second keynote lecture on "Policy elite interviews in education policy research" are university lecturer, PhD  Nelli Piattoeva (University of Tampere) and Post-Doctoral Researcher, docent Jaakko Kauko (University of Helsinki). In the small groups of the seminar, you have an unique possibility to present your research and network with doctoral students and supervisors from all around Finland. Also the social programme is beyond comparison – come and experience the biggest smoke sauna in the world!

Decisions of the FinEd travel grants 2015

There were altogether 60 applicants for the FinEd travel grants - a double number compared to the year 2014. There were applicants from all the eight universities of the network.
