This is a FinEd Newsletter. Newsletters are sent to all members of the FinEd Network via contact persons or email lists in each university and published on the FinEd website.
Programme of the Annual Seminar now published, register by 3 April 2016!
The FinEd Network organises its annual seminar on May 25-26, 2016 in Conference Hotel Sofia, Helsinki. The seminar concentrates on the theme of scientific communication and publishing in national and international journals. Keynotes of the seminar are professor Diane Reay (the University of Cambridge) and editor Kaisa Leino from the Finnish Journal of Education (Kasvatus). In addition to the keynotes, the seminar includes workshops where the doctoral candidates work on their article drafts or analyse already published articles. As before, the travel and accommodation costs of the seminar are covered by the network to all doctoral candidates of the FinEd member units, in universities of Eastern Finland, Jyväskylä, Lapland, Oulu, Tampere, Turku and Åbo Akademi. The doctoral candidates of the faculty of behavioural sciences at the University of Helsinki are welcome to register and participate at their own cost.
The maximum number of participants is 50 doctoral candidates. If there is more interest towards the seminar, we will accept participants according to the order of registration. At the same time, we aim at even participation among the member universities of the FinEd Network. Please register soon, on April 3th at latest! Also registrations of the supervisors are warmly welcome!
