Finland University and the University of Turku Increase Co-operation with Indonesia

Finland University, including the University of Turku, and the Minister of Education and Science visited Indonesia on 18–19 March. The contracts that were made during the visit will increase transnational education and international co-operation with Indonesian universities.

​The contract between the University of Turku and Bogor Agricultural University was renewed in Indonesia.

​Finland University and two Indonesian universities made a co-operation agreement to develop the forestry and education sectors. Finland University, which is the join transnational education organisation of the Universities of Turku, Tampere and Eastern Finland, already has several collaboration projects with different Indonesian universities.

During the visit, the University of Turku renewed the contract with Bogor Agricultural University to increase international mobility and co-operation.

Minister of Education and Science  Kirsta Kiuru and Minister of Education Anies Baswedan signed a co-operation agreement concerning education. The agreement enables closer co-operation in education and promotes transnational education. In the discussion between the ministers, the most central topics were collaboration between home and school, teacher training, the possibilities of digitalisation and distance education as well as improving well-being at school and the motivation to study.
