International Students Are Satisfied with the University of Turku

A survey conducted last year shows that international students were particularly satisfied with the University of Turku. The survey covered all the European universities and their exchange students.

The first exchange students of 2014 began their studies at the beginning of January.

The University of Turku was ranked at the top in the Study Portals Awards 2013, which is a survey that measures the satisfaction of international students. The university received 9 – 9.5 points out of ten from the students and it is the second highest place in the awards.

Because of the ranking, the university received a Certificate for Excellent International Student Satisfaction. Also Åbo Akademi and Turku University of Applied Sciences fared well in the awards.

The results of the StudyPortals Awards are based on the opinions and reviews of thousands of students.

Master’s Degree Programmes Open for Application

The international Master’s degree programmes of the faculties are open for application during January, February and March. Altogether, there are 17 programmes available in different fields of study.

Food Development and Molecular Systems Biology are new Master’s degree programmes that start this year. Both of the programmes are organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
