Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius visits the University of Turku on Tuesday, 24 October. Starting at 9am he gives a lecture "Security Situation in the Baltic Sea Region" in the lecture hall Publicum 1.
The lecture is open for public.
Linkevičius has acted as Lithuania's Foreign Minister since 2012. In years 2005-2011 he was the Permanent Representative of Lithuania in NATO. He has also served as the Minister of National Defence twice, first in 1993-1996 and then in 2000-2004. He is a member of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party.
