QS Ranking Highlights Nine Subjects from the University of Turku
The University of Turku has increased the number of subjects in the international university ranking.
In the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, the University of Turku placed among the top in nine different subjects, with five of these subjects ranked among the top 200 in the world.
The University of Turku subject rankings in the QS World University Rankings by Subject:
- Business & Management Studies, 151–200
- Education, 151–200
- Medicine, 151–200
- Pharmacy & Pharmacology, 151–200
- Psychology, 151–200
- Modern Languages, 201–250
- Biological Sciences, 251–300
- Chemistry, 301–400
- Physics & Astronomy, 301–400
This is a clear improvement: in 2014, five subjects from the University of Turku were included in the list.
– The University’s longstanding work shows in these different university rankings. This ranking clearly displays the strength of our University, which is diversity, says Vice Rector Kalle-Antti Suominen, who is responsible for research.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranked 3500 universities in 36 subjects. The ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
