Students of the University of Turku have achieved success in the prestigious European Law Moot Court Competition (ELMC). Mirka Kuisma won the award for best Commission representative in the individual competition, while Saara Ingström and Juho Hellgren ranked in the team competition within the top 8 teams.

The ELMC is an annual moot court competition that simulates the preliminary ruling process of the European Court of Justice. Established since 1988, the competition is one of the most prestigious law moot courts in the world with participants from over a hundred universities. The ELMC consists of both written and oral rounds, where students get to represent the different parties of the process. After eliminations in the written and oral rounds, the all-European finals are held each year in Luxembourg, where the best teams are awarded.
