The First Science Slam of Turku in May
Ten minutes of time, the subject the juiciest piece of your own research, and the goal to make people interested in science. Those are the only rules of Science Slam, the new way of introducing science that came to Turku from Central Europe.
University of Turku Graduate School and University Communications organised a course on popularising science for doctoral candidates early this year. In May, the participants can test their newly learned skills in practice Science Slam that is the highlight of the course.
On Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23, the OP-Pohjola lecture hall in the Turku School of Economics is filled with Science Slam atmosphere starting from 2 pm. The event is open for everyone. The audience is treated to an array of unique performances and a club-like atmosphere.
