University of Turku among the Best 400 in THE World University Ranking
The University of Turku is among the 400 best universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings published on 5 September 2017.
This year, THE ranked the best 1,102 universities in the world by emphasising education, research, and citations as well as knowledge transfer and international outlook. The University of Turku was placed in the 351–400 range in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018. Last year, the University was placed in the 301–350 range.
– Competition is extremely tough and we are glad that our University has been placed among the best universities in the world also in this ranking. We are especially pleased that our scores in research and international outlook have improved, says Vice Rector Kalle-Antti Suominen of the University of Turku.
