University of Turku and Shandong Normal University to Deepen Collaboration

The University of Turku and the Shandong Normal University from China will deepen their co-operation in research and education. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Rector Kalervo Väänänen and Chancellor Shang Zhixiao on 18 August at the University of Turku.

​A delegation from the Shandong Normal University visited the University of Turku on 18 August to sign the Memorandum of Understanding. During their visit, the delegation explored especially research in geography, geology and social sciences at the University of Turku.

The University of Turku and Shandong Normal University will deepen their collaboration in education and research. The two Universities agree to promote faculty exchanges for teaching and research projects, and aim to promote student exchanges.

They also agree to engage in the exchange of academic materials published at the respective establishments and to promote joint research projects in areas of mutual interest for joint authorship and publications. Furthermore, they agree to promote joint conferences, seminars and workshops of mutual interest to both institutions.

The University of Turku and the Shandong Normal University recognise that a co-operation effort would be a mutual benefit and would serve to establish enduring ties between the Universities.
