This year, the money that was reserved for planning, printing and posting the Christmas cards of the University of Turku went to a good cause – for the children of the world.
We Donated Our Christmas Card Money to the UNICEF’s Children’s Fund.
This year, the money that was reserved for planning, printing and posting the Christmas cards of the University of Turku went to a good cause – for the children of the world.
UNICEF is the world’s most prestigious and best known organization in the field of child care. Its activity is based on The Rights of the Child –agreement of the UN. All the money donated to the UNICEF’s Children’s Fund is used to benefit those children whose position is the poorest.
With the 4000 Euro that University of Turku donated to the campaign Some Reason to Christmas (Joku järki jouluun) UNICEF can acquire:
780 000 water purification tablets
1250 notebooks, pens and reading books for children
18691 doses of polio vaccination or
52 bicycles to transport polio vaccinations
