Welcome to the First Falling Walls Lab Researcher Competition in Finland on 11 August

The Falling Walls Lab Turku competition, where young researchers have three minutes to present their work onstage, is open to the public. Three most intriguing presenters will win a place in the international Falling Walls Lab final which will take place in Berlin in November. The Lab is organised in Finland and the Nordic countries for the first time as a part of the three-day Aboagora symposium.

The hundred best presenters of the Falling Walls Lab competitions organised around the world compete in the final in November. It will be organised in Berlin during the international Falling Walls conference.

​The Falling Walls Lab Turku takes place on 11 August 2014 at the Sibelius Museum (Piispankatu 17, 20500 Turku). The competition starts at 11am. The presentations are held in two parts, at 11.45am and 1.45pm and the winners are announced approximately at 3.15pm.Everyone is most welcome to come and watch the international scientific competition held in Finland for the first time.

‒ For the audience, the Falling Walls Lab Turku is a great chance to learn something new. You rarely have the chance to explore the latest development in different fields of science in such a unique manner. Last year, I went to see the final in Berlin. The Lab is a great show where the contents are also impressive, says Coordinator Anna Haapalainen.

The Falling Walls Lab Turku is collaboration between the Falling Walls Foundation, the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University. The committee of the Aboagora symposium is responsible for the arrangements.
