SIMHE - Education and Guidance Services for Immigrants
SIMHE Services of the University of Turku offers study and career guidance to immigrants on higher education and questions of working life related to it. In addition, SIMHE services include Finnish language courses in small groups and individual training, job search training, and training for language proficiency tests in Finnish. Guidance and courses are provided in personal meetings, in classrooms or via Zoom or Teams.

Courses by SIMHE Ukraine / SIMHE-Украина
Boost Your Language Confidence Courses are targeted to Ukrainians in higher education who have received temporary asylum in Finland, and other immigrants in higher education may also register. Our aim is to boost your everyday language skills in Finnish and English to help you get settled in Finland.
The courses are language level 0 to A1 (no Finnish/English skills needed).

We offer personal guidance both via remote connection online and in the International House Turku (IHT)
Guidance online
- you can send inquiries and book appointments either by e-mail at simhe@utu.fi or book a time straight from the University of Turku SIMHE booking calendar
- after booking your appointment you will receive a web link for online meeting either in Zoom or Teams
Guidance in the International House Turku (IHT)
- face-to-face guidance is available every other Thursday from 12:30 to 15:30 in IHT at Monitori Market Square, Aurakatu 8
- you can book an appointment either via IHT's Wellcome Desk, multilingual advisors or by e-mail at simhe@utu.fi
