New Entrepreneurship and Innovations

One of the focus areas of the Brahea Centre at the University of Turku is to collaborate in development projects aiming to promote the founding of new companies. We have organised, for example, innovation camps and hackathons with the purpose to find new commercial solutions for various industries. We have also promoted the development of new business activity by collaborating to organise acceleration programmes and acting there as mentors. In addition, we teach entrepreneurship at the University of Turku, and also abroad through our international development projects .

We also specialise in conducting research on the economic state and future prospects of various industries. For instance, our market overviews about the Finnish health technology industry, maritime cluster, and media sector have brought useful market information to the stakeholders of those industries.
