Artstor moves to JSTOR platform
Artstor is a database of over 2 million images from museums, archives, scholars and artists. The purpose of its use is teaching and research and it provides tools for watching, mastering and presenting images. In 2024 Artstor will move to JSTOR platform.
Artstor users are recommended to create and/or finalize their image groups on Artstor during January 2024.
Image group copying to personal JSTOR workspace of the users begins in February 2024. Read more information on Introduction to Workspace JSTOR webpages. Copying takes place since all Artstor functionality is now mirrored on JSTOR platform.
Once copying is complete, users will receive email with documentation and a link to personal Workspace. You can also familiarize yourself with more detailed instructions on Artstor's website. Use your Artstor username and password to log into your JSTOR Workspace.
You can copy image groups yourself to JSTOR using the copy tool also after February until August 1, 2024 when Artstor website will be retired. Explore the copy tool on JSTOR's website.
On April 25, 2024 at 7:00 pm there will be an Images on JSTOR training webinar, providing a comprehensive introduction for Artstor users transitioning to JSTOR. Read more about the webinar and register. All registrants will receive a recording of the webinar.
