Bibliography in a mess? - let reference management programs help you

29.08.2016

Have you grown impatient with writing bibliographies manually? Are you planning to switch to the new RefWorks? Have you heard of Mendeley, but are not sure what kind of program it is? You are welcome to come and find out how the reference management programs can help you with your writing process!

Library offers Mendeley and RefWorks training sessions also in English. The session starts with creating accounts and we will go through all the basic features of the program. We hope that with the training session the implementation of the reference management program will be as easy as possible. In March there are also webinars about both Mendeley and RefWorks.

If you have used RefWorks previously, you can come to learn what kind of program Refworks3 is. RefWorks3 is in use alongside the old RefWorks version.
The difference between RefWorks and Mendeley is that Mendeley is also a network to connect with other researchers.

Choosing a reference management program is partly a matter of taste. It pays off to try a couple of programs to find the one that suits best your needs. Furthermore, it is also recommended to take into account which program your colleagues and collaborators use.

A comparison of the library-supported reference management programs RefWorks, RefWorks3 and Mendeleyc is available in the Reference Management ResearchGuide.
