Coronavirus Infection at Turun normaalikoulu Lower Secondary School and at International School’s Primary School

A person has been confirmed to have a coronavirus infection at the Turun normaalikoulu lower secondary school. In addition, one person at the primary school of the International School has been confirmed to have a coronavirus infection.

A person has been confirmed to have a coronavirus infection at the Turun normaalikoulu lower secondary school on Thursday, 18 February 2021. Altogether 37 people have been exposed to the coronavirus and they have received a separate notification and instructions to stay in quarantine until 4 March 2021. The school organises remote teaching for the pupils placed under quarantine. For other pupils and staff, school work continues normally after the winter break.

In addition, one person at the primary school of the International School has been confirmed to have a coronavirus infection on Thursday, 18 February 2021. Altogether 11 people have been exposed to the coronavirus and they have received a separate notification and instructions to stay in quarantine until 4 March 2021. The school organises remote teaching for the pupils placed under quarantine. For other pupils and staff, school work continues normally after the winter break.

The guardians have been informed about both cases through Wilma.
