Elsevier's offer for researchers - discounts in article processing charges of Open Access publication

Corresponding authors at University of Turku have now the possibility to publish their articles open access with a discount in Elsevier journals. The discount is 50 percent of the journal’s APC-list price (APC=article processing charge).
Discount is available when these conditions are met:
- The corresponding author of the article is affiliated to University of Turku
- The article is accepted to one of the journals on a predefined list
- The article is accepted for publishing between 1.1.2018-31.12.2020.
The discount is due to FinELib's SD Freedom agreement, in which University of Turku is a member. The agreement includes over 1500 Elsevier owned hybrid-journals and over 100 Full OA-journals. Elsevier's APC prices are defined per journal. The discount is calculated from the APC list prices. Please remember that the corresponding authors must themselves pay the discounted APC.
