​Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE from the University of South Wales will give a presentation on the topic "Developing an entrepreneurial strategy for Wales: the university as a driver". The seminar will take place on Monday 5th March at 14.15 at Lecture Hall LähiTapiola  (Turku School of Economics, ground floor)

Dylan Jones-Evans is Assistant Pro-Vice Chancellor (Enterprise) and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of South Wales. He is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Turku.

Jones-Evans has published over 100 articles within edited books, academic conference proceedings and refereed journals. He has worked as a consultant for the OECD, EU and other economic development bodies and was the co-author of the Entrepreneurship Action Plan for Wales. He is currently a member of the REAP panel which is working with MIT to develop an entrepreneurship strategy for Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. Professor Jones-Evans has created number of events to promote and celebrate entrepreneurship in Wales including the Wales Fast Growth 50, the Cardiff Business Awards and the Wales Start-Up Awards. He is a regular commentator within the media with weekly columns since 2004 in both the Western Mail and the Daily Post. Jones-Evans was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2013 Birthday Honours for public and political service.
