WORK2025 conference organised in August 2025
Already seventh multidisciplinary, international WORK2025 conference on work and working life research is organised in hybrid format on 20–22 August 2025 by Turku Centre for Labour Studies (TCLS). WORK2025 offers 18 exciting research streams, several keynotes, and breaks in between the sessions to share knowledge, research results, and to discuss new directions in research. The theme of the conference, Work in the era of unruly AI, highlights some of the most significant recent changes in working life.

DISCE –project received excellent review feedback from the European Commission
University of Turku, School of Economics has lead and co-ordinated a 3,5 year Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies (DISCE) project funded by the Horizon2020 programme of the European Commission. The multidisciplinary DISCE research project investigated what are inclusive and sustainable creative economies and how they can be developed in Europe.
The DISCE Final Event “A call for more Inclusive Creative Economies” was a success!
The DISCE – Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies - project is coming to an end in June 2022. On the 3rd of March 2022 DISCE Final Event took place in a hybrid format. The event summarised and presented the project's findings and discussed preliminary policy recommendations with the EU officials and other stakeholders.
