Five University of Turku students in exchange at Czechia – students have been reached

The international mobility team of the Educational Affairs has contacted the students of the University of Turku who are currently in exchange in Czechia and have reached them all.

Five students of the University of Turku are currently in exchange in Czechia, four of whom in Prague, where a mass shooting took place at Charles University on Thursday, 21 December 2023. All five students have been reached. According to the Finnish Embassy in Prague, the Czechia police and the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs have confirmed that no Finnish citizens were injured in the shooting.

Rector of the University of Turku Jukka Kola expresses condolences to the Charles University community on behalf of the entire University of Turku community.
