Food Studies Online – new database for food research

Food Studies Online provides researchers archival content, visual ephemera, monographs and videos that explore how food shapes the world around us. Food studies is a relatively new field of study; key disciplines include history, biology, anthropology, environmental studies, business and sociology. 
 

The database includes, among others, food movements, GMO’s, Nutrition, food habits and diet trends. Food systems, sustainability of the food production and the impact on climate change are widely covered as well. You can also search through over 23,000 menus available online through New York Public Library and Los Angeles Public Library websites!

Food Studies Online can be accessed via Volter database search with utu - credentials.
