Futures Studies students awarded by the Association of Professional Futurists

Association of Professional Futurists (APF) is a global community of professional futurists. It has a Student Recognition Programme awarding annually papers by graduate and undergraduate students. The association has announced its 2017 awards.

First prize in PhD Student category was awarded to Sofi Kurki with her article "Trust Makes This Organisation Unique. Looking At The Future Of Work Through Two Human-Centric Organisations", coauthored together with Markku Wilenius.

Second prize in PhD Student category was awarded to Ville Lauttamäki with his article "Actvod-Futures Workshop – A Generic Structure For A One-Day Futures Workshop".

Master's degree student Henna Heinäjärvi got the third prize in the graduate individuals category with her article "From Liberator of Women to Moral Atrocity – Ethical Evaluation of Ectogenesis".

APF Student Recognition Programme

Student Recognition Programme is meant for universities worldwide offering undergraduate, Masters and/or PhD programs or degrees in Foresight and Futures Studies.

Each university can submit up to five student works that the university considers to be of exceptional quality in terms of originality, content and contribution to the field. No more than three entries can be submitted in any one category, i.e. graduate individual. Submissions may include papers or projects by individuals and team and must be formal papers, projects and products. To be eligible for an award, all students must have been formally enrolled at the time the work was carried out.
