Library Opening Hours Expand from 25 October 2021

Turku University eases coronavirus restrictions and moves to the green light stage of the coronavirus traffic light model on all campuses. This also allows a wider opening of libraries from 25 October 2021.

Library opening hours

The library returns to normal opening hours. Please, check library website for more detailed opening hours.

New extended opening hours:

  • The Saturday opening of the Teutori Library will move to Educarium. Educarium Library is open Saturdays 10 -14.
  • Self-service use in Teacher Education Library in Rauma evenings Mon-Thu until 16-21.

Avoid unnecessary close contacts. If close contacts cannot be avoided, please use face masks. If you have symptoms of a cold, influenza, or other infectious diseases, do not come to campus.

Library premises and devices

The facilities in libraries are normally occupied and do not have any restrictions on people.

The reservation of library facilities and equipment is transferred from Outlook to a new Asio booking system.

Library’s loanable devices (laptops, tablets, calculators) are not in use.

Pick up a course book from the self

In exceptional circumstances, the reservation option for on-site course books has been discontinued. Course books available in libraries must be picked up from the shelf by patrons and reservations can only be made to the on-loan course books.

Automatic renewals

Extended automatic renewals of loans that was in place in exceptional circumstances will be restored to normal renewal times on a staggered basis from week 45.

28 day loans will be automatically renewed for a year and course book loans for 6 months unless there are reservations. Automatic renewals do not apply to overnight and weekend loans.
